Alastair has been providing tax advice since the early 1970s; initially in Central London specialising in tax consultancy work and, from 1995 when he joined Venthams, founding our Tax Department. Whilst principally based at the Rochford Office, he visits the firm’s other offices on a regular basis.

Alastair has extensive experience in all areas of direct taxation. He is recognised as a leading tax specialist, having been involved in a wide range of personal, trust and corporate taxation assignments, with considerable emphasis on tax planning.

Since joining Venthams, Alastair has been actively involved with The Chartered Institute of Taxation including being Chairman of the Essex Branch in the past.

Outside of the tax environment, Alastair enjoys popular music from the 1960s / 1970s and has a passion for photography.
